EMG Group – Business Portraits

At our first meeting, we discussed the style and mood of the photos. Based on that we created several concepts that fit the group’s image. We elaborated more in a further in-person meeting, and selected the most fitting idea together. Given that several staff members live abroad, and most of them have a very busy schedule, we were asked to wrap up the entire shoot in one day.

To ensure that the 32 portraits and 8 group shots were done as smoothly and timely as possible, we worked with a larger crew. For the portrait shoot, we provided 2 photographers, 2 gaffers, 1 creative assistant, 2 hairdressers, 2 make-up artists and 3 stylists. A production manager was also on set to coordinate the complete shoot.

We prepared the script for this complex photo shoot, which was preceded by prior consultations. We agreed on the script of the photo shoot, which we adapted to more than 30 people, as well as the choice of styling and interior design.

We based the photo shoot on a nice and minimalistic concept. Many people were scared of being in front of the camera, so we put a lot of effort into making everyone feel comfortable because we wanted them to have a good time in a relaxed atmosphere.

On top of that we used a control monitor to ensure that they could see their portraits immediately, which made it easier to perfect the shots. We took portrait photos of everyone in several settings and positions, so that each person could choose the one they liked best.

Group photo shoots always require precise and accurate preparation to ensure that everything runs smoothly and according to the script planned down to the minute. Due to the complexity of the genre, we spent 1.5-2 hours on the group photo, including preparation. The final group photos show the members of the management.

In total we were 14 hours on set, of which 10 hours were spent on the actual photo shoot with the client present. The entire team was divided into two groups: one photographer took individual portraits of the 32 team members, while the other crew was responsible for taking all the group shots.

The crew members assisted the photographers, sending our subjects on and off camera, similarly to a revolving stage, ensuring that everything went according to our script. By the end of the day, we had created exciting photos that reflected the company’s values with a completely unique color and concept. We finalized the pictures with a quick and lovely post-production process – color correction, cropping, retouching.

We were thrilled that after a few weeks of submitting our work, the company contacted us to let us know that a lot of foreign and domestic partners contacted them and endorsed them on their new pictures. Furthermore, many of them replaced their old LinkedIn profile pictures with our photos. It means they hopefully should be satisfied with all our job. These are the rewards, that we are working for!
